Add Flair to your Mailings with Color Envelopes

Despite the success of the internet and electronic communication, Americans now receive more postal mail than ever before. Email has not proven to be an effective way to directly market products to consumers and new tough federal anti-spam laws close that door even further. Direct mail marketing is a more important tool than ever for reaching new consumers but, with households receiving so much mail daily, what can you do to ensure that your message is not lost? Surprisingly, one solution is very simple and cost effective to implement. Enclosing your mailings in color envelopes makes them stand out from others and increases the likelihood of your message being opened and read.

Color envelopes are available in almost any shade and hue imaginable. You may have to pay a little bit more, but the prices, particularly when purchased in bulk, are not that much higher than traditional white envelopes. Color envelopes can be purchased from a wide variety of brick and mortar stores as well as online wholesale outlets.

While using color envelopes can really help your message stand out from the others, you want to be careful to choose a shade that is professional looking. Messages enclosed in Lime green or pastel color envelopes are likely to be dismissed as "junk mail" and discarded before opening. Good choices for color envelopes include cream, yellow, and brown.

You can increase the chance of your direct marketing message reaching the consumer if you use attractive and eye catching color envelopes. The slight extra cost of purchasing color envelopes should be well offset by the increase in sales you will experience.
