Small Business Printing: A Primer
When starting your small business, one of the first choices you get to make that involves the tone and personality that you'd like to infuse your business with involves your marketing and sales campaign. Printing up a variety of materials to advertise your products and services as well as special events and promotions are an integral part of your marketing campaign. Every piece of it will tell your potential customers what you have to offer and the style in which you are offering it.
Some of the different mediums you can utilize for your small business printing needs include:
* Brochures
* Fliers
* Business cards
* Letterhead
* Envelopes
* Labels
Each of these can utilize any combination of the following to create the 'personality' of your small business through printing:
* Color of text
* Color of paper or cardstock
* Weight of paper or cardstock
* Font size and style
* Graphics and logo
For example, if you run a day care center, you may choose to use a font that looks like handwriting or building blocks and a graphic of see-saw or a swing set. You may even include a logo that demonstrates your joy in caring for kids.
Choosing the heaviest weight card stock, paper, and envelope, no matter what industry you work in, will lend your business an air of legitimacy and class that flimsier stock won't.
No matter what printing mediums you choose for your small business, let it represent you as professional and on top of your industry.
