How to Write Effective Sales Brochures
There are three important things to keep in mind when writing sales brochures. First, you want the customer to read it. Second, you want the customer to appreciate the message. Third, you want the customer to act on the information in the sales brochures.
The first step in creating effective sales brochures is to design them so that the customer will read them instead of giving them a quick glance before crumpling them up and throwing them away. The best way to ensure that your sales brochures are actually read is to give an indication on the cover of how your product can help the customer. A catchy title and a few well placed images can work wonders. Avoid cluttering the valuable sales brochures cover real estate with company logos and slogans–theres plenty of space for that on the inside.
Now that you gotten the customer to open and peruse your sales brochures, it is time to hook them by showing how your product is just what theyve been looking for. If possible, tailor the sales brochures to your desired audience. For example, if you plan to hand out your sales brochures at a trade seminar, be sure to focus on how the product relates to the topic of the seminar.
Once the customer has read your sales brochures, its time to drive home the sale. One very effective technique is to offer a special rate or discount on your product if the customer displays or mentions your sales brochures. This makes the customer feel that they are getting a special deal, and may serve to facility the initial sales contact.
