Spread your Message by Publishing Newsletters Online

It is no exaggeration to say that the internet has revolutionized the way humans communicate. The ability to reach thousands using the written word was once exclusively the domain of organizations and wealthy individuals. Publishing newsletters is cheaper than publishing books or magazines, but still the cost in labor and raw materials is prohibitive to some individuals and groups. This is no longer a limitation–now anyone can get their information to the masses by publishing newsletters on the internet.

The first step in using the internet to start publishing newsletters is to decide whether you are aiming for a web newsletter or an email newsletter. There are pros and cons to each. For example, publishing newsletters via email ensures that your message will be delivered directly to the consumer without action on their part. The downside is that aggressive spam filtering may block many legitimate newsletters. Additionally, spam-inundated readers may forget that they have signed up and delete the newsletter without ever looking at it. This can be circumvented by publishing newsletters to a web page. This circumvents the spam problem (and also makes your newsletter available to more than just subscribers), but relies on the reader taking action by coming to your web site. You can combine the two approaches by publishing newsletters to a web site then sending subscribers an email with an active link they can click on every time the newsletter is updated.

Regardless of your target audience, publishing newsletters online is a cost effective way to get your message to as many people as possible.
