Twitter Marketing: 8 Simple Steps to Follow
One of the new social netoworking sites is Twitter. What they do is allow users to send text style message between each other. The messages are called tweets. The concept of a tweet is where each person that follows or subscribes to the authors twitter account receives all the tweets that they do. So when you are promoting something and you send out a tweet the more people that read it and action on it the more success you will have. That is why twitter is thought to be such a good way to reach people in the social networking marketing place.
On the other hand, it is a fact that simply having high number of follower on Twitter doesn't matter on one's business. So why is twitter considered to be a good tool to be used in marketing? Well, it is considered to be a good tool if you have high followers and these followers are people who are in line or have interest to the service or product you are promoting. Yes, your followers have to be your target market. You can have a lot of followers but if they are untargeted, they do not matter at all.
So how do you find the right target market on twitter? All you need to do is find the prominent people in your market or industry and follow the people that follow them. Or follow the people that they are following. If they are following that person than most likely they are the people you are looking to target. They are in the same market that you are promoting to. So all you need to do is follow those people. That's it.
From here the process if fairly straight forward once you understand the above logic or process. Below is the step by step process to follow:
1. Create a professional looking profile. Make it look good.
2. Find out who the competitors are in your market. Do some research and lean who they are.
3. Look at the profile of that particular person who is in the same market and see what they have done.
4. Click on his followers. After a couple of days, you will notice that the people you follow from his account are also following you.
5. You next step is to unfollow people who do not follow you. This is for you to follow more people.
6. Post tweets that would be interesting to your followers.
7. Once these relationships have been established you can start to promote your business with links to your pages.
8. Then, just repeat the routine and remember to be constant in attending your Twitter account for you not to be forgotten.
These simple steps are all you have to do. So if you are able to master them, then you will be getting a large number of followers who are also your target people. Isn't that what you wanted? And again, be constant when it comes to managing your account.
