Without it, the idea of three hundred squaddies beating an armed forces of ghoulish men would look like plain madness instead of beauty.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Gollum is by far one of the eeriest CGI creations, and his appearance in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was made possible by the Chroma Key. The creature's lifelike actions were arrested through chroma key technology. Also, the style of the Shire and other regions of the Lord of the Rings universe won't be caught by simply creating full sized sets. That's where the green screen Hollywood comes in. It digitally created backdrops that were added to the movie for a more practical feel. This made the movie much more valuable.
