Conditions to understand Previous to Getting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was let go on November 10th, 2009 and had among the strongest introductions I can even remember! I did not go out for that midnight launch, but I drove out on opening day and was there 3 hours in advance of launch in the daybreak and there were already 20+ individuals holding out there. Right after a half hour to 45 minutes, I finally acquired my copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 system and off I drove to invest the majority of my week ranking up as quick as I could.
So just before I start, I just want to say that I'm a huge fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to help keep this review from the view of somebody who has not played any of the Call of Duty video games or an individual who did not appreciate the prior games in the Call of Duty series. I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was determined on obtainingModern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was for purchase.
As most of you by now are aware of, I rarely actually spend money on games that really do not offer some form of multi-player and typically will only buy game titles for the multi-player factor, but I did really engage in the whole single player campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I must say that I did get pleasure from it even when playing through a second time. The story was compelling, it was somewhat difficult to understand at times, but it tied in rather efficiently with where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and offered resolutions to numerous unanswered problems.
The only factor I definitely didnt like concerning the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it absolutely was quite simple at the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say constantly, mainly because that's undeniably not true, there had been times in which I got extremely aggravated as there were just so large a number of enemies at once on every side and it made me very angry, but other than that, the single player campaign was pleasing and plus a refreshing new game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it truly is precisely the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it was perfect for that game and is nevertheless completely perfect now. So far as Im concerned, the control scheme choices in COD4 and MW2 are the ideal layouts that have ever been put together for any online game. You'll notice a couple of other control layouts which you can select from and all of those layouts are perfect as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get accustomed to, but when you are used to the new controller layout, youre godly!
Now comes the part which you all have been patiently waiting for! My thoughts on the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in over 360 hours of online gaming, I imagine I can give a fairly good overview of what it is all about. For the most part, every thing is better balanced. The maps are laid out tactfully, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work very good. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go along with the positives. Now, do not get me completely wrong here, Im not intending to go over everything that is perfect in this game, since it would take too long. Instead, Im planning to try and go over some of the major faults inside of the online feature of this game, because I believe this would be way more important to potential buyers and/or past owners.
Here we go, lets get started now regarding bad aspects. As far as Im concerned, one man army is the only unethical perk. On its own, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it can be fairly useful based on your circumstance, but put to use in the hands, it can be put into use in an particularly infuriating way that can make anyone just want to basically break their controller until the pieces discontinue flying.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and sincere, being compensated for dying, in my opinion, is just ignorant. There should really be no need for this if the spawn structure was properly thought through, which, sadly, it most definitely just isn't, but if you are implementing death streaks for anything but to beat the unfavorable spawn system, then you've no excuse, you are definitely a noob.
On that note, I may as well touch at the spawn method seeing as I already opened that can of worms. With no need of starting into a tremendous rant, basically the spawn procedure runs nicely in most instances, but on the occasion, it performs just about as clearly as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt help you at all, it triggers you hard core irritation, and it makes you wish to toss your console out the window of a 3 story or higher building. Im relatively certain that that's pretty much all I've to say about that, mainly because if youve played a fair number of online games and game varieties, you know exactly what Im blabbing about.
One particular other issue that functions just like that, would be the matchmaking feature. The online game automatically selects what lobby it is going to set you in. This means, you can be put inside a room which has 5 seconds left in your game and it is hopeless for you to win. This seriously maddens me to no end. Theres no simpler way to trash my enthusiasm to just loosen up and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I launch it up and connect to a game on a team that's just getting destroyed. It is not fun in any respect, in reality, most of the time if this occurs I will simply flip the Ps3 off right then and there and do some thing different.
So far as weapons go, they are pretty much well balanced now. During the beginning there was a huge dispute in regards to the model 1887s, but thanks to every one of the complainers, they got nerfed and are now about just as effective as launching a rock at another person. In terms of the other areas of the guns go, they are all incredibly effective and if you ever do not react rapidly, you'll die free of even understanding what occurred.
I believe this concludes the argument around the multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you need to be aware of any extra related to it, just buy it, as it is most certainly deserving of the cash.
