So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some hints:

Thoroughly clean wall and make sure it is dried out. For newlypainted walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days before to putting on decals. Even if new paint feels dry, it may nevertheless need to settle and totallydry. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not suggested on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very textured and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to use on tile as long as the surface is thoroughly clean and completelyfree of moisture during installation. Make certain the design element does not overlap grout area as water couldleak under and compromise the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, given that they are placedtightly onto the surface so moisturecan'tget under the decal. Once placed, RoomMates will notmove even if sprayed by shower.

Vinyl wall decals must not be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they shouldn't be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and destroy the merchandise. Also, neverposition at the base or inside the tub. Water could filterbeneath the peel and stick too easily and would compromise the adhesive. When using, make sure you get started from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the rest of the element separate from the wall/surface. Gradually go straight down over the design with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once applied you should be able to move any excess bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the difficultycontinues (this would solelyoccur with the giant decals), you can punch a teeny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to push the air out.

In all, it is alwaysbest to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is textured, performance could be significantlydiminished. Make sure surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and ruin the item.
