Cheap Vacations: All Inclusive Pros And Cons
Are you looking for a hassle-free vacation that can save you money? If so, you should consider an all inclusive holiday. These not only take the tedious planning out of your holiday but you can also find them to be more affordable than doing everything on your own.
All inclusive vacations include your flight to and from your destination, transfers, hotel accommodations and meal and drinks at your destination. In addition to this most offer free activities such snorkeling, bikes and boat trips. Some even include sightseeing trips, rental cars and childcare. Most all inclusive hotels and resorts have everything you need under one roof. There are buffet meals available or, if you prefer fine dining, you can make a reservation at one of the hotel's restaurants. There is also usually free snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available poolside. This makes it a good deal for several reasons. If you are taking a family vacation, everyone can enjoy a buffet breakfast together and then the kids can go to the beach. You can sit by the pool and sip margaritas while your kids are swimming and enjoying the sun.
Many all inclusive holidays are in available in Mexico, Costa Blanca and the Caribbean where there are pristine beaches and tropical weather. Their location is an added benefit since they are a short flight distance from the mainland U.S. Packages can be booked directly through the resort but it is recommended that you shop around on the internet. Packages are available to suit everyone's budget; sometimes packages are even less expensive than a typical plane ticket.
Travel agents are also a great resource for one stop shopping. They have all the tools to find you a cheap vacation and many of them have first hand experience with the resorts and packages they offer. In addition, they know all the ins and outs of the destination so they can suggest sightseeing itineraries and other activities of interest.
With all of the benefits of all inclusive holidays, there are some things to watch out for. Many resorts and hotels are located outside of the city so getting out of your hotel and seeing the sights may be a chore. Staying at all inclusive resorts may also make you feel obligated to do everything at the hotel since everything is free; this may not suit those who like to get away from tourists and explore.
There are also some cheap travel deals that are too good to be true. Once you arrive you are required to attend a seminar for timeshares. If this happens, be prepared for hard sells and if you're not interested in buying a time share then this could dampen your holiday time. If the deal sounds too good to be true then contact the hotel or the agency promoting the vacation and inquire. These kinds of offers are usually sent as promotions in the mail; travel agencies don't deal with these types of gimmicks.
An all inclusive vacation can be a wonderful and affordable holiday but take time to research and be aware of the disadvantages.
