Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was available on November 10th, 2009 and had one of the biggest introductions I can even recall! I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was determined on buying Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was presented.
As the majority of you currently fully understand, I hardly ever spend money on video games that really don't have some form of multi-player and commonly will only spend money on video games for its multi-player aspect, but I did really engage in the entire single player campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I have to say that I did get pleasure from it even while playing through a second time. The story was secure, it absolutely was somewhat difficult to understand at times, but it tied in pretty well with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and gave answers to lots of unanswered subjects.
The only real factor I certainly did not like in regards to the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it was pretty painless at the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say always, given that that is unquestionably not true, there had been times in which I got fairly aggravated for the reason that there were just so many enemies at a given time on every side and it made me exceedingly irritated, but other than that, the single player campaign was rewarding and plus a refreshing new game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it truly is exactly the exact same as in Call of Duty 4 and it was fantastic for that game and is nevertheless absolutely flawless now. As far as I am concerned, the control layout choices in COD4 and MW2 are the very best layouts that have ever been put together for any video game. There are a couple of other layouts that you can pick from and every one of those layouts are fantastic as well. Some of the optional layouts take just a little while to get accustomed to, but after youre accustomed to the new controller layout, youre unstoppable!
Now comes the portion that you all have been waiting for! My views regarding the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in more than 360 hours of online play, I imagine I can give a rather high-quality overview of what its all about. For the most part, every thing is far better balanced. The maps are laid out efficiently, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work very well. This being stated, there are definitely negatives to go together with the positives. Now, do not get me completely wrong here, I am not going to go over every little thing that is right in this video game, because it would take too long. Instead, I am going to try and go over some of the major faults inside the online aspect of this video game, for the reason that I believe this would be far more practical to potential buyers and/or prior owners.
Here we go, lets get started now relating to the bad aspects. As far as I am concerned, 1 man army is really the only unethical perk. On its own, there's practically nothing wrong with it, and it can be fairly helpful based on your state of affairs, but used while in the hands, it can be utilized in an exceedingly irritating way that will make any person just want to simply just break their controller until the pieces stop flying.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and direct, being compensated for dying, in my opinion, is just foolish. There should be no need for this if the spawn feature was clearly thought through, which, unfortunately, it most undeniably isn't, but if youre applying death streaks for anything but to stop the weak spawn organization, then you've no excuse, you are definitely a noob.
On that note, I may as well touch on the spawn structure being as I already opened that can of worms. Without starting into a massive rant, essentially the spawn process runs well in most instances, but on the occasion, it operates just about as efficiently as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It does not help you whatsoever, it causes you severe disappointment, and it makes you wish to toss your console out the windowpane of a 3 story or higher building. I am fairly certain that this is pretty much all that I have to say about that, merely because if youve played a suitable number of online games and game varieties, you know exactly what I am talking about.
One other issue that runs just like that, is the matchmaking feature. The video game automatically chooses what lobby its going to set you in. This means, you can be put in a lobby which has a few seconds left within your game and it truly is really impossible for you to win. This certainly aggravates me to no end. Theres no simpler strategy to destroy my delight to just chill and engage in some Modern Warfare 2 then when I launch it up and connect to a lobby on a team which is just getting it handed to them. Its not fun in the least, in fact, most of the time if this occurs I will undoubtedly flip the Playstation 3 off right then and there and do anything else instead.
As far as weapons go, they're very significantly balanced now. During the beginning there was a massive dispute in regards to the model 1887s, but thanks to all the whiners, they got nerfed and are now about just as effective as flinging a rock at somebody. So far as the other areas of the weapons go, they're all particularly effective and should you really don't respond quickly, you will die without even knowing what went down.
