So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some installation tips:
Wash wall and make sure it is free of moisture. For newly painted walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days before to installing decals. Even if new paint seems dry, it may still need to settle and thoroughly cure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not recommended on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very uneven and porous surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to use on tile as long as the surface is thoroughly clean and completely dry during installation. Make sure the design element does not overlap grout region as water might filter under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, given that they are positioned snugly onto the surface area so moisture can't get under the design element. Once applied, RoomMates won't move even if sprayed by shower.
Vinyl wall decals shouldn't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they shouldn't be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may cling to the adhesive and damage the merchandise. Also, never place at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could filter underneath the wall decal too easily and would damage the adhesive. When applying, make sure you get started from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the other parts of the element separate from the wall/surface. Gradually go straight down over the product with your hand and smooth the element onto surface (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you ought to be able to move any remaining bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the difficulty persists (this would solely happen with the giant decals), you can punch a very small (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to push the air out.
In all, it will always be best to check wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface area is uneven, operation could be significantly diminished. Ensure that surface is thoroughly clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and destroy the merchandise.
