Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was unveiled on November 10th, 2009 and had among the best introductions I can even bear in mind! I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was determined on shopping for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was announced.
As the majority of you undoubtedly are aware, I hardly actually invest in video game titles that really don't possess some form of multi-player and usually will only invest in video game titles for its multi-player factor, but I did genuinely engage in the whole single player campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I ought to say that I did enjoy it even whilst playing through a second time. The story was consistent, it was just a little confusing at times, but it tied in rather clearly with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and gave solutions to a great deal of unanswered thoughts.
The only factor I certainly did not like about the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it absolutely was rather effortless for the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say constantly, given that that's absolutely not true, there were times in which I got really aggravated for the reason that there were just so many enemies at once on each and every side and it made me incredibly aggravated, but other than that, the single player campaign was engaging and a refreshing new game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it is precisely the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it absolutely was excellent for that game and is nevertheless absolutely flawless now. As far as I am concerned, the control scheme alternatives in COD4 and MW2 are the greatest layouts that have ever been placed together for any online game. There are a couple of other layouts that you can choose from and each of those control schemes are perfect as well. Some of the optional layouts take just a little while to get accustomed to, but the moment youre accustomed to the new controller layout, youre beastly!
Now comes the part that you all have been waiting for! My thoughts for the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in above 360 hours of online gaming, I imagine I can give a pretty fantastic overview of what its all about. For the most part, everything is better balanced. The maps are laid out efficiently, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work fine. This being said, there are constantly negatives to go along with the positives. Now, dont get me completely wrong here, I am not going to go over every thing that's right in this online game, as it would take too long. Instead, I am going to try and go over some of the major defects inside the online aspect of this online game, because I feel this would be a good deal more important to potential buyers and/or previous owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the negative elements. As far as I am concerned, 1 man army is the only real questionable perk. On its own, there is practically nothing wrong with it, and it can be very beneficial based on your predicament, but utilized in the hands, it can be put into use in an extremely annoying way that makes anybody just want to simply just break their controller until the pieces discontinue flying.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be up front and sincere, being honored for dying, in my opinion, is just asinine. There should really be no need for this if the spawn structure was efficiently thought through, which, sadly, it most undeniably isn't, but if youre implementing death streaks for anything but to combat the unfavorable spawn process, then you've got no excuse, you are simply a noob.
On that note, I might as well touch at the spawn scheme being as I already opened that can of worms. With no need of starting into an enormous rant, basically the spawn process performs well in most cases, but on the occasion, it performs just about as effectively as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It does not help you whatsoever, it may cause you serious frustration, and it makes you wish to cast your console out the windowpane of a 3 story or higher building. I am pretty certain that that may be pretty much all I have to express about that, simply because if you have played a reasonable number of online games and online game types, you know precisely what I am babbling about.
Just one other thing that performs just like that, would be the matchmaking procedure. The online game automatically determines what lobby its going to place you in. This means, you can be placed inside a lobby which has eight seconds left in your online game and it truly is hopeless for you to win. This absolutely aggravates me to no end. There is no easier strategy to mess up my anticipation to just rest and engage in some Modern Warfare 2 then when I start it up and join a game on a team that is just getting destroyed. It is not fun in any way, in reality, most of the time if this happens I will undoubtedly flip the PlayStation 3 system off right then and there and do anything different.
As far as weapons go, they are very considerably balanced now.
